Finally, something delivering a glimpse of fun from the Bottom of the Barrel: Exhibit #10

The Rider
The world has fallen into ruin after an atomic war, and what remains of civilization is ruled under the Orwellian dictatorship of a man named Prossor. With his army of Omega soldiers, Prossor hunts down the free-thinking people that live in the wastelands, who are know as the Outsiders.

Next we meet a man known only as The Rider, as he speeds along on his super-computer motorcycle named Einstein. The Rider is a nomad that lives alone, but when he accidentally comes across the secret base of the Outsiders he reluctantly finds himself involved in their fight against Prossor's regime.
The leader of the Outsiders is Nastasia, and she recruits the Rider to protect her on a dangerous mission to rescue prisoners from Prossor.

At first the rescue mission seems like a success, but the stakes are raised higher when Nastasia gets taken prisoner and faces torture at the hands of Prossor himself. The Rider has no choice but to assemble a team of rowdy Outsiders so he can rescue Nastastia and stop the Omega army once and for all.

"You will learn to hate me." - Prossor

Nastasia                             Prossor

Despite having very little plot this movie was still able to be pretty engaging. There is a lot of action here with explosions, car chases, fights, and motorcycle stunts being delivered at a steady pace. It doesn't come across as too mindless though, because there's always a theme of the Outsiders fighting for their freedom from oppression.

Lots of this

In classic Mad Max style, The Rider is a taciturn anti-hero that has no fear, and Robert Ginty does a decent job being a badass. His motorcycle, Einstein, is the one that brings most of the laughs. It just talks in bleep bloops, and loves to repeat a few sassy catch-phrases when bad guys are around.

Overall, there's not much here that is unique or amazing, and my main complaint would probably be that it can take itself too seriously sometimes, instead of embracing its silly trashiness.
But it's still a goofy, action packed 90 minutes that definitely filled my craving for some Italian made post-apocalyptic cheese.

Be sure not to miss:
- A sample of Einstein's quips: Hot to Trot, Bite This, Dig It, and of course, Very Bad Mothers.
- Donald Pleasence's costume is identical to his costume as Blofeld in You Only Live Twice.
- Omega nightclubs look rather fun.
- I was disappointed that Fred Williamson only has a small role. He's usually a main character in stuff like this.

Internet review:
"I recommend this movie to anyone who gets emotionally erect over explosions." - zmaturin
