As we learn in the movie, the hammerhead shark is the most evolved shark, making it a highly intelligent animal... Well, I think it's safe to say a hammerhead didn't write this movie.

Dr. King
On an uncharted island, Dr. King is conducting some mad experiments on the creation of shark-human hybrids. His work is becoming successful, as he's created a real live Shark Man, but unfortunately its animal instincts are proving difficult to control. The master plan is to have Shark Man get a woman pregnant so that the baby's superior stem cells can be used to prevent disease around the world. And this is only the first ten minutes! This movie wastes no time going full crazy with some seriously weird "science" and implied shark rape.

King reveals the less insane parts of his research to the pharmaceutical company he used to work for, intriguing his old colleague, Mr. Feder. It looks like the research truly could be the cure for cancer, so Feder accepts King's invitation to the island, taking along Dr. Amelia, her boyfriend Tom and a few others.

The group arrives on the island and King treats them to a wonderful evening of dinner and dancing. When it comes time for King's presentation on his research, the madness of his shark plans are revealed. Feder and company are outraged at the monstrous science, but King doesn't care because he brought them all here to be killed by Shark Man! The shark is fully revealed to us, and it's pretty freaking amazing. The monster effects are clearly where most of the budget went.

Amelia
Tom... Our hero

The group needs to escape off of the island but now Shark Man is hunting them, as well as King's gun toting guards. This is when Tom (Will Forsythe) really begins to shine. He's not ex-military or a tough cop, he's just an average middle-aged guy that knows how to get shit done. I didn't really care if anyone else died, but it was easy to root for Tom as he constantly fights against the odds.

It basically just becomes an action movie from here on. Boats explode, people get shot, and the group runs around in the jungle trying to find a way to escape. Shark Man is always nearby, ready to rip apart anyone that gets in his way. It's mindless fun and everything to do with the monster is super weird, but it's mostly just sloppy action.
The editing, directing and supporting cast are all pretty damn amateur, but the leading actors help prevent this from becoming a total disaster. You can tell that they're having some fun with the crazy material. There's even a few surprises about the origin of Shark Man to be revealed. All the pieces are here for a good time, but they don't always fit together correctly, giving the movie a disjointed and muddled feel. It's a memorable curio, but not a classic.

Be sure not to miss:
- The roasted pig had three eyes.
- "You're fine, you still have your sunglasses."
- The syringe with green liquid must have been a nod to Combs' similar role in Re-Animator.

Internet review:
"If you absolutely love sharks, fire and explosions, this is the film for you." - Gillbert

Should I watch it?
I recommend it for the weirdness, and Combs is always great.
