Daria and Tisa are two ladies stuck in space jail, but we meet them as they are escaping their confines in a stolen spaceship. They don't make it too far before they are forced to crash land on an isolated planet, and here they are rescued by a man named Zed who has a fortress in the middle of a vast jungle. Zed has also taken in two other refugees, Rik and his sister Shala.

Zed is a very intense man, but he's a gracious host so everything seems fine at first. But when Rik gets time alone with Daria and Tisa he explains that they are all prisoners, and that Zed is likely going to use them as prey in his deadly hunting game!

The group start planning a way to escape off the planet, but Zed's no fool, and he begins hunting them once he realizes they're all plotting against him. The trio have little to use against Zed besides their wits, but they're going to prove to be much more difficult to kill than he expects!

This movie actually turned out to be much less trashy than I had presumed. The girls rarely play the victims, and instead are shown to be smart, tough and fully capable of protecting themselves and getting the job done.

It's still low budget exploitation cinema, of course, but it doesn't come across as sleazy. Instead, there's a playful tongue-in-cheek vibe here that provide lots of laughs and goofy moments. The special effects are minimal but adequate enough to look cool, including Zed's two android bodyguards and some unexpected monsters that show up.

"The universe is divided into two types of people,
the hunter and the hunted." - Zed

Dangerous android

There's plenty of snappy dialog between Daria and Tisa, and although they don't have much acting talent it still adds to the fun energy that carries throughout the movie.
There may not be much plot or originality here, but it still manages to be enjoyable as a fast-paced and mindless 80 minute cheese-fest.

Be sure not to miss:
- The space theremin seems cool.
- If you look closely, Zed has some pretty wacky trophies on the wall.

Internet review:
"It deserves a place in any true B-movie loving fans collection." - PWheat
