aka: Ator 2: L'invincibile Orion

I've found the sequel to Ator, and I regret everything and nothing!

The story begins with a lady named Mila and her wise father Akronas sitting in a cave (there are a lot of caves in this movie.) During all his mystical researching, Akronas has discovered something called The Geometric Nucleus, which is a powerful tool of "everything and nothing," but it just looks like a glowing coffee can to me. Meanwhile, an evil lord named Zor is spreading his army across the land, so Akronus needs to find someone that can protect The Nucleus from being stolen. He sends Mila to the east to get help from the great hero Ator.

Ator,  Mila and Thong

Ator has been studying in a cave with his friend Thong, as they lift weights, practice with swords and read ancient books. When Mila arrives and explains the situation to him, the trio head out to protect The Nucleus and rescue Akronus from Zor's castle. Zor is no fool though, and his soldiers and wizards are working overtime to mess with Ator's travel plans!

Apparently, this movie was made in two weeks and there was no script to follow. Well, that explains a lot!
At any given time there's just barely enough happening to rightfully be called a story, and the random adventuring action is among the sloppiest ever made.
A few scenes are really funny but it can also get pretty damn dull. Somehow, it does remain oddly enjoyable to watch, mostly because there's always some wonky dialog or a giant rubber snake for Ator to wrestle. The ending is ridiculously memorable, because the revelation of what The Nucleus is had me cheering at the stupidity of everything and nothing.

Be sure not to miss:
- The hang gliding scene was so majestic.
- Nice hubcap armor, Mila.
- Invisible enemies are cheaper than hiring actors.

Should I watch it?
Once you get on the Ator train, there's no stopping!

Where can I find it?
