reporting for duty

A fleet of U.F.O.s have arrived on Earth, bringing alien robot zombies that want to kill and eat every human being! Despite looking like dudes in scuba gear, their advanced technology and ruthlessness causes ruin and panic as they begin attacking our cities with laser blasts. The military scientists are working hard to find a way to fight back, and they call on Major Kent Bendover to bring his expertise for the battle.

All of the plans to attack the aliens end in failure, and even Major Bendover barely escapes from his missions alive. The zombie aliens are killing a lot of spastic idiots, so I'm more inclined to be rooting for them! As the threat from space increases around the globe, the only sensible thing the military can think to do is drop nuclear bombs on everything and hope for the best.

I shouldn't even bother trying to summarize the plot because it's mostly a storm of freewheeling chaos. This is truly shameless trash, fueled by lunacy, stock footage and probably a lot of drugs. From the very first scene, the movie slithers into your brain like a weasel eager to gnaw on the electric cables of your sanity. This unwelcome guest soon becomes your friend, as you are soothed by garbage arms of schlock movie madness and the occasional whisper of perverted genius. The bad acting and bizarre musical numbers are what kept me laughing, but it does get redundant at times.
Made as a comedic parody of the many bad science fiction films from the 1950's, the movie embraces incompetence, nonsense and cheap special effects.
The most obvious source of inspiration would be Ed Wood's classic, Plan 9 from Outer Space, as many references are made to it.

Major Bendover's adventures continue as he gets abducted by the aliens and finds love in the most unlikely place. I'm not sure which is more disturbing, the aliens torturing him or the alien love scene. Yuck! 
Can the Major escape in time to save Earth, or will we be destroyed in a barrage of stock footage bomb drops and plastic U.F.O.s battling before our bleeding eyes!?

Be sure not to miss:
- The girls in bikinis on the cover have nothing to do with the movie.
- Aliens and humans agree on one thing: Mimes and jugglers don't deserve love.
- Zombie Death Car.
- The story is interrupted by a newscast that recommends you only continue watching so that your rental fee is not wasted.
