In an ancient and mystical world everyone lives in fear of savage beast men that roam the land, capturing or killing people as offerings to their master, the wicked sorceress Ocron. The world desperately needs a hero, so a young man named Ilias sets out on a quest equipped with his magical bow. Ilias soon meets another adventuring warrior, a peculiar man named Mace, and the two men decide to travel together to stop evil.

Ilias                                                                                   Mace

As they wander the misty countryside they encounter all sorts of danger; zombies, cobweb monsters, and plenty of Ocron's beast soldiers. It seems Ilias can't go five minutes without getting himself into danger, but luckily Mace is there to rescue him.
Ocron wants the power of the magical bow for herself, so with the help of some type of metal wizard guy she redoubles her efforts to kill the two heroes. The men decide they must infiltrate Ocron's fortress and stop the evil sorceress before her wicked plans comes to fruition!

Ocron

At first glance this might seem like a typical Conan imitator, but the overwhelmingly surreal quality makes it stand-out as something experimental. The movie is full of bizarre and unforgettable moments, but it doesn't really tell much of a story because the plot is as hazy as the over abundance of iridescent fog that glides through every scene. The movie just doesn't seem worried about coherency but there's enough synth music, blood and boobs to distract my confusion.

When cobweb monsters attack !

The typical fighting and action that you'd expect is here, with goofy looking monsters and guys dressed in costumes made from roadkill, but I was not expecting some of the bloody moments of total gore!
Although the visual style is unique, they clearly didn't have much budget so it falls short of the grandeur that was intended. It's a mind-numbing mess of monsters, nudity, wizards, gore, and laser arrows that will only leave you bewildered.

Be sure not to miss:
- Directed by Lucio Fulci, known for his horror, he also dabbled in the fantasy genre.
- Dolphins to the rescue.
- Are the beast men snorting cocaine!?

Internet review:
"Fog in swamps. Fog in fields. Fog in caves. Fog on rivers. Lots of fog. So much fog." - 4Fin

Should I watch it?
Worth it just on weirdness alone.
