Capt. Lu soon has bigger problems when the son of the Mayor accidentally kills a woman. The Mayor is outraged, but he hires Pai to be the bodyguard of his son to protect him from the law. Capt. Lu doesn't like this at all, and tensions are rising as the threats of violence and disgraced honour escalate. There's also a mysterious young woman, Miss Li, that is planning her own deadly revenge.
The Mayor is desperate to keep Capt. Lu from discovering his counterfeiting business, so he calls in a dangerous killer named Mr. Lung to get rid of the sheriff. The plot twists start unfolding as more of the truth is revealed, because not everyone is who they claim to be!

For an old-school kung fu movie the plot here is actually quite deep and intricate, and I've only scratched the surface of all that happens. The handful of main characters all have hidden agendas, and there's some great double crosses and surprises as we learn more about the characters. Despite all the complexities it's actually quite easy to follow, because it's pieced together with a solid structure and good acting.

| Lots of this ! |
As expected, there's plenty of fighting to be had, and it's all top quality action executed by skillful martial artists. The climactic battle between the three main men is seriously one of the best "final battles" I've ever had the pleasure to watch.
There's a bit of a western vibe to the story, and you can tell that they were inspired by The Good, the Bad and the Ugly to some degree, but there's enough originality here to not feel like an imitation. There's even room for some laughs, making this just as fun as it is thoroughly engaging.
Be sure not to miss:
- Looks like they're counterfeiting pogs.
- Tickle torture seems surprisingly effective.
Internet review:
"It is simply a great martial arts film." - Samford
Should I watch it?
You need to be in the mood for kung fu, but it's pretty awesome.
Where can I find it?
