Lando is a happy man with a wife and daughter, but he's haunted by the violence he did as a younger man. One day, a man he wronged years ago comes for revenge, and Lando is shot in the head while protecting his family!
Miraculously, Lando doesn't die. But it's because his uncle, who also lies dying far away in his village, uses his mystical powers to save Lando at the cost of his own life.
All of that in the first ten minutes!

Lando and his family decide to go visit the uncle, but they are sad to learn of his recent death. The villagers tell Lando that he is supposed to be the new leader of the village, and that his uncle passed all of his mystical energy to him.
When some thugs attack, Lando learns that he truly does possess magical abilities that help him protect the people.

The thugs work for an evil magician that has been terrorizing the village, and when they kidnap Lando's daughter he goes on a mission to rescue her. Coming along to help is Renzo, a wise man that teaches Lando about his new powers.
Lando is going to need all the help he can get, because the magician is in league with Satan! There will be many fights to win along the way, with mysterious forces working against them. Lando also meets a little mute boy with powers of his own, but who can he trust when Satan is trying to trick him into destruction!?

Here's a movie that starts simple, slow and a bit dry, but it continually builds momentum until it's a flurry of wackiness and hilarity. There's a lot of set-up in the first half, but it does make us care about Lando and his conflicts. The second half is where things really shine, with wizard battles, snake people and other delightful oddities.

The special effects are low-budget sloppiness, but that always adds to the charm of these movies because you can tell they did the best they could with limited technology.
They really tried to create an epic story of good vs. evil, and I was surprised at some of the heartfelt sentiment here. Watching Lando transform from an average guy into a magic wielding badass was a lot of fun. Of course, it's the crazy mystical shit that really creates the entertainment, but I still found myself rooting for Lando to triumph and save his family.

Be sure not to miss:
- The greatest staring contest ever.
- Lando really knows how to kill a snake.
- The mute kid makes some noises that sound like a cat.

Internet review:
"It's all strangely entertaining, almost otherworldly filmmaking." - Branshear
