Stella and Akton are a pair of space smugglers, always looking for adventure and trying to avoid the space police. When they get busted and sent to space jail, they receive help from the most unlikely of sources. The Emperor of the Galaxy himself offers them a job where their skills can be put to use for good.

It seems that an evil man named Count Zarth is attempting to build a powerful weapon that will let him rule the galaxy, and Stella and Akton are tasked with finding and destroying it before Zarth's evil schemes can come to fruition. The Emperor also wants them to find his son, Simon, who has gone missing in action.

Stella and Akton begin the adventure of a lifetime, as they travel from planet to planet looking for Zarth's secret weapon. They get help from a robot named Elle, and eventually Simon joins with them, too. Along the way they'll face giant monsters, killer droids, and all sorts of space battles as Count Zarth tries to stop them from destroying his weapon.

There's no hiding the fact that is a blatant Star Wars rip off, but when you're having this much fun and laughing your ass off the whole way, who cares!? The plot may not be very original, but despite the cheesy acting and pulp presentation, they really made an attempt to make it all feel epic.

They also had a decent budget to work with, and all of the special effects are pretty good, in a trashy B-movie type of way. It's a constant stream of eye-candy, as our heroes travel through space finding all manner of trouble. It really keeps you guessing what could possibly happen next.

"Circuits don't fail me now. Yeehaw!" - Elle

Killer space robots !
As I mentioned, there's plenty of laughs here, both intentional and unintentional, especially from the robot Elle. He's always nervous and saying silly things with complete sincerity.
As far as Italian made rip-offs go, this is one of the more memorable ones I've ever seen. It's filled with fun energy and sci-fi oddities, making it clear to see why it has gained such a cult following.

Be sure not to miss:
- They're looking for a planet named Uranus. Of all the names to pick, the writers chose that.
- The ship's AI computer is just a big brain sitting on the floor.
- Elle's southern drawl is an odd choice, but funny.
- The Emperor is played by Christopher Plummer.

Internet review:
"It's a better Star Wars film than all three Star Wars prequels combined." - Mr. Soup

Should I watch it?
