Skip
Skip Carter and his buddies are in a fraternity at Glazier College, and they're getting ready for a week long battle of pranks against their rivals at the frat house full of jocks led by a jerk named Jeremy.
The fraternity that pulls the best pranks gets to win the coveted Prank Crown, but old Professor Ragnar is doing his best to bring the entire Prank Week tradition to an end.

Among all the college hijinks, Skip is also trying to win the heart of a girl named Erin before Jeremy can swoop in and steal her away.
The movie does a good job establishing all the characters and rivalries, but we all know what we're really here for, and that's the ghoulies!

It's not too long before the ghoulies get summoned by Prof Ragnar, of all people, when he inadvertently reads a magic spell from a confiscated comic book. The movie then drives headfirst into the land of screwball comedy as the ghoulies explore the campus, creating chaos everywhere they go.

"They're bombing with the butt-wipe bouquet!" - Officer Barcus

  Erin                                   Jeremy                                   Officer                                 Professor
                                                                                           Barcus                                   Ragnar

No one knows about the ghoulies except Prof Rangar, who has sent the little fiends on a mission to destroy the Prank Crown, so all the trouble they cause is attributed to the fact that Skip and his friends are pranking their rivals.

The movie relies heavily on the adolescent formula that Porky's used so well, but the juvenile humour begins to wear thin after awhile because of the lack of a real plot. I admit there is an attempt to keep the story moving as we watch Skip struggle to romance Erin and avoid trouble from the campus security guard, Officer Barcus, but it never amounts to anything.

The slapstick comedy is non-stop here, including the ghoulies themselves who are usually doing a Three Stooges routine. This is the first movie where they actually speak words, so of course they have plenty of cheesy one liners as they commentate on the trouble they cause.

While some parts of the movie work quite well and deliver some classic dumb fun, it becomes a bore once things get repetitive and all forward momentum of Skip's story is lost. Instead of narrative, the focus becomes only on slapstick and ghoul farts.

Be sure not to miss:
- Ragnasiphitas Horseassimus
- Harley knows how to eat pizza.
- The guy that does the mop bucket stunt is Kane Hodder!
