Sarah
Sarah and her two best friends, Ginger and Ducky, have been allowed to stay at her uncle's beach house for the summer while he is out of town on business. Ginger and Ducky are wild girls and they quickly start planning a big party, but Sarah is reluctant to have fun and makes them promise to keep the party calm and small. She's reserved and a bit shy, but has also found a new love interest in a hunk named Scott.
Using some of the weirdest invitation tactics I've ever seen, Ginger soon has the house full of guys and gals dancing and drinking, by just calling random repairmen from the phonebook with the hopes that they are cool. And that's the whole movie... Okay, okay, I guess a bit more does happen, but luckily it involves six garbage bags of marijuana!

Ducky and Ginger
While Sarah struggles to enjoy the ever growing party, the neighbours have called her uncle to complain about the noise, so Uncle Carl decides he better head home and check on the situation. Luckily, Uncle Carl is a chill guy, and he calmly explains to Sarah that they can keep partying, but it's the last party and Ginger and Ducky can't stay for the summer.
The next morning, the girls find that a massive amount of "killer weed" has washed up on the beach! This blows everyone's mind and even Sarah and Uncle Carl are getting into the party vibes now, so it looks like this is one beach party that will never end. That is unless the coastguard starts snooping around!

It's not all wild antics and nudity, although the party hijinks are when the movie is playing to its strengths, but it also has a dreamy innocent side, occasionally focusing on Sarah trying to fit in among her peers and find her place in the world. It's not exactly profound but it's nice to see the movie at least attempt some thoughtful moments, and it helps keep the main plot from becoming a farce. The sub-plots, on the other hand, are very silly.

Party aftermath

For a healthy dose of slapstick comedy there's a goofy gardener spying on the girls the whole time, and it eventually builds to a mud wrestling fight scene with a rival chauffeur. It's completely pointless but ten times better than the sub-plot about the coastguard chasing after pirates (that's where the weed came from.)
Besides some clumsy character development for Sarah, the plot is basically just one big party, but thankfully it's a rather enjoyable party with a group of friendly, wild beach kids.

Be sure not to miss:
- The surfing nun.
- Everyone on Captain Jack's crew wears an eye-patch.
- The bikini stealing dog from Malibu Beach is here again! It's just reused footage though.

"Sit back, relax and mellow out for a little laughs." - DKehr

Should I watch it?
Far from the worst beach movie, but also nothing too special.
