Our heroine, Lea, opens the movie with narration, explaining that it's been about 20 years since a nuclear war ended the world, and in that time civilization has been completely erased and the few humans that are left live in a medieval world. Radiation has mutated all of the wildlife into giant dinosaur creatures that roam the wilderness... All that happened in only 20 years!? Damn, that is some impressive apocalypse action.Lea has survived by learning to fight, but she sure would like to find a boyfriend because even a barbarian girl has sexual needs. She's soon in luck when she makes friends with Marn, a studly man that helps her beat-up a band of attacking rapists, and they choose to travel together.
I quickly noticed something odd here... There's barely any dialog. All speaking is kept to a bare minimum, except for a few scenes in the middle. It does make the beginning half drag, because instead of talking they just do a lot of walking.
It's not long before their pleasant adventure is interrupted by a Bad Guy and his frog-men goons. Marn is beaten and left for dead, while Lea is hauled away by the Bad Guy. Marn is found by Old Man (that's seriously what he calls himself) and nurses Marn back to health. Finally, we get an actual conversation, because Old Man loves to talk. When Marn has recuperated and feels ready to rescue Lea, Old Man gives him a powerful weapon from the past, called a gun.
The second half is much more exciting, with lots of monsters and sloppy fights, but there's not much plot except for typical adventuring, so let's just talk about the awesome dinosaurs!

The effects are classic stop-motion animation, and are honestly quite impressive for such a small budget. The monsters all look great, and the actors even directly get to interact with them. Even though the plot moves quite slow, there's a new dinosaur to see every 10 minutes and always something to laugh at.
The movie's a lot more innocent than the title implies. There's no sex and only some brief nudity, but it delivers everything else in the title. Plenty of dinos and barbaric action!

Be sure not to miss:
- Old Man is reciting the poem Jabberwocky.
- The music is ridiculous. Often it's just someone banging on an old air organ, or we're treated to really loud flute solos.
- I think the opening scenes are from Troma's War, which I really need to watch soon.
