I'm glad this didn't suck, because a movie featuring Roddy Piper and Sonny Chiba sure sounds awesome!

Keller and J.J.
With some awkward flashbacks we learn about how two cops, John Keller and J.J., are investigating a drug company called HybriCo. A stakeout at one of their fancy parties gets them involved in a fight club supervised by a mysterious woman. While Keller and J.J. are fighting off an army of thugs, a female undercover agent is murdered by a crazy man known as the Signature Killer. They take the killer down with a hail of bullets, but his body is never found because he gets up and runs off despite having his chest blown apart!
After all the chaos and damage of that night, J.J. tends to his wounds and meditates at home, while Keller decides to go on "vacation" to the HybriCo headquarters in the Caribbean, hoping to find answers and the missing killer.

It's a bit slow to start, but Keller learns that the mysterious woman, Quinn, is collecting skilled fighters, and he meets a reporter named Karen that is also interested in HybriCo. He and Karen work together to uncover why the company is researching Mayan ruins, weird drugs and guys with muscles. It doesn't make a lot of sense, but Quinn is creating warriors that can't be killed... Meanwhile, J.J. is still meditating at home.

Over 9000 on the Bonkers scale
Quinn

The plot is very sloppy but it's also fun, so who cares? It seems pointless having Chiba sit at home for half the movie before he comes in to help, but when he gets into the action it's awesome. Everyone has great chemistry and gets to have some fun in between the many fight scenes. Deron McBee as Muller (aka Signature Killer) is so laughably crazy that you need to see it to believe it!

The final 30 minutes takes the movie into overdrive! Karen gets kidnapped, so Keller and J.J. make plans to take down the bad guys, but how are they going to stop all these fighters that cannot be hurt?

Be sure not to miss:
- When Muller licks Keller. That had to have been improvised.
- We get a glimpse of Keller's vacation photos when the bad guys develop them. Ha!

Internet review:
"It's cheese, it's inconsistent, it's low budget. It's what you need in your life." - Andy

Should I watch it?
Yes! It's great to see Roddy again, doing what he does best.

Where can I find it?
