This is a sequel to Lady Dragon in name only, but it's basically the same movie anyways.
Susan Morgan and her husband, Sonny, are traveling abroad so that she can participate in a kickboxing tournament, and this is when the couple inadvertently get tangled-up with a ruthless diamond thief named Diego.Diego uses Susan's luggage to help him smuggle the diamonds back to Los Angeles, and when he comes to collect his loot he viciously attacks Sonny and rapes Susan! And then he returns two days later and does it again, this time killing Sonny!
When Susan recovers, she is eager to get revenge, so she goes undercover as a prostitute to try to get information about Diego by mingling with other unsavory criminals. This doesn't really help her but it gives us a chance to finally see some fights, since she has no problems defending herself from goons.

| Diego |
The movie has a slow start, and this continues far into the middle of the movie too. There's a whole lot of nothing going on, except Diego playing mind games with Susan, and it all comes across as a melodramatic soap opera.
Where are all the fights!?
I can appreciate the attempt at being more of a thriller instead of just action, but there's no substance to keep my mind occupied. I did get some laughs at the low budget sloppiness going on, but again, the story elements are so fleeting that my brain was generally numb.

| Not enough of this |
Eventually, after an eternity, Susan prepares for the final showdown and we finally get some intense fights and a high speed car chase as she battles through a horde of henchmen to come face to face with her nemesis.
The real point of interest here is Billy Drago's performance as the maniacal Diego. Billy Drago always makes a great, sleazy villain and his over-the-top performance is a highlight of the movie.
The ideas here could have worked much better, but everything is poorly executed and far too tame, making it feel more like Days of Our Lives instead of Death Wish.
Be sure not to miss:
- One of Diego's henchmen finds everything funny. Even his own death.
- "Why are you dressed like a whore?"
- Rats enough!
