Nick, Lucy and Bronco are driving across the outback when their car breaks down and leaves them stranded near a little village. They ask for help at the local pub, but the townsfolk all seem so peculiar and awkward that the creepiness unsettles the waylaid travelers. The locals do offer a solution to their problem though, and that's to go visit Sir Alfred in the nearby manor where he can surely help get them back on the road.

Bronco,  Lucy,  Nick

The vibes are pretty spooky despite this clearly being played for laughs, ensuring us that it's going to be a sloppy fun time. Things become even more ridiculous as the trio arrive at the manor. Sir Alfred is clearly a vampire, as are his companions George, Samantha and Agatha, and these oddballs are twice as weird as the townsfolk were!
Sir Alfred

Sir Alfred and the vamps are a bit too kind and accommodating, as they casually separate Nick, Lucy and Bronco away from each other for some seduction and thrills.
Things get weird.
The vampires like to toy with their victims before killing them, so now the guests are made to stumble around the dark maze of the manor, falling into traps and seeing spooky illusions. Then a rock 'n roll band shows up for a musical number, because why not?
I have no idea what's going on, but I know I like it!

The trio eventually escape the haunted manor, and with help from the locals they plan to stop Sir Alfred's supernatural reign over the land... Things get even weirder!

"She's a lunatic sometimes, like we all are... Right!" - Sir Alfred

Unexpectedly, the erratic mix of humour and creepiness actually works, but it's all low brow comedy and cliches that reminded me of the old Addams Family show, only more graphic. Instead of trash or sleaze, it focuses on delivering pure camp. These aren't necessarily negatives, especially when the movie is self-aware of how goofy it is, but it does get a bit draining.

The locals
The overall weirdness kept me hooked, and the actors and director all seemed competent enough to do a decent job with the goofy material. The special effects are low budget, but they add to the silliness and make the climactic battle with Sir Alfred very memorable and hilarious.
Not exactly a hidden gem, but it's a bizarre anomaly I'm glad to have watched.

Be sure not to miss:
- George's laugh makes me want to puke.
- "It's just a turn to the left." Probably a Rocky Horror reference?

Internet review:
"I'd recommend this to fans of obscurity, odd humour and surrealism." - t-birkhead

Should I watch it?
It's good for mindless fun.
