A clandestine spaceship glides through the darkness of space above an alien planet... What!? Is this the right movie!? The spaceship explodes, flinging a piece of its engine all the way to Earth, where it sinks into the ocean and begins leaking alien cocaine. (Well, that's what I called it.)

Dr. Mike Olsen and his wife, Linda, operate a deep sea lab where they research all sorts of wet things with a team of scientists. Mike is currently heading back to shore for business, and while he's away the crew performs routine repairs on the exterior of the lab. A nearby group of sharks get upset and viciously attack the divers! Not content with only chomping on people, the sharks also attack the laboratory itself, damaging the communications and life support systems.

Mike is called back to the lab, but the only way he can get down there is with the help of a Navy submarine, helmed by Captain Riley. Coming along for the ride is Mr. Stiles, a lawyer that investigates accidents that occur with oceanic labs.
While that story drags on at a snail pace, we do get to see some crazy sharks terrorizing beaches, boats and anything else in the water. The movie avoids saying that the sharks are high on alien cocaine, but it's pretty obvious that's what is happening. Lots of people die and the shark effects are actually quite well done.

The plot now becomes one big rescue mission. First, Mike has to get into the lab just so he can be trapped in there along with everyone else. Time is running out, and there are red alerts everywhere... And none of it is exciting! The events are delivered so matter-of-factly and dry that it's actually boring.
This movie is 1% aliens, 4% explosions, 5% sharks, and 90% people yelling into their radios. My excitement is drained away.
"It's an underwater sea lab, not a nightclub!" - Mike

Linda likes science, hates sharks
Capt. Riley

The sharks have been completely forgotten by now, and it's honestly just becoming a submarine soap opera. Raging Sharks was made for TV and it has that cheap feel associated with daytime television; bolstered by stilted acting and recycled sets.
You might be wondering about the alien stuff, right? Well, the plot eventually reveals treachery among the crew, as someone is working for a secret government agency that has been hunting for the crashed UFO. It's all pretty obvious anyways, so no suspense is created at all. At least the ending gets pretty ridiculous. Actually, this movie might be best enjoyed by only watching the first and last five minutes.

Be sure not to miss:
- They have "10 minutes of air left" the entire movie!
- The same sad piano music plays every time someone looks at a picture of their child.
- It seems like the aliens at the start crashed because they were having a petty argument. All of this could have been avoided if they had been watching where they were going.

Internet review:
"Anyone who willingly watches something called 'Raging Sharks' deserves to be disappointed." - Neo Maniac

Should I watch it?
No. The boredom outweighs the few good moments.
