A group of teenagers living in the small farm town of Dudley are looking for some excitement on a summer night. They head to the local lookout point, called Blue Lights, to have a bit of a party. Some of the kids think that Blue Lights is haunted by ghosts, while others say the place is a UFO hot spot. Regardless, the place has a reputation for unexplained blue lights being seen there over the years.

Loath
On the very same night, three creepy and deformed ghouls have arrived at the nearby cemetery, planning to resurrect a monster that they worship as a god. The leader is Loath, and he commands the other two to dig-up some artifacts for their dark ritual.
The teens are having a good time until they see blue lights in the forest. We know it's the ghouls creeping around, but the gang goes to investigate and discover a statue of a monster and an old medallion. They keep the medallion and decide to haul the statue home, but while they're making plans the ghouls have relocated it to the cemetery. Following a trail of clues, the gang find a subterranean tomb where the evil bastards are melting the corpses of their victims into a soup for the ritual. Loath needs that medallion to awaken the monster-god, so he sends his henchmen to get the kids!

Witch lady

Not everyone makes it home safe that night, but those that do are terrified. Loath's evil power is searching for the medallion, and no one is safe while they have it with them. The teens decides to seek the help of a local psychic lady that's rumoured to be a witch. She seems pretty bonkers, but knows all about the evil ways of the ghouls and their medallion. Equipped with new knowledge and some wonky magic talismans, the kids head back to the cemetery to stop the ritual. Loath isn't going to go down without a fight, and he calls forth a small army of zombies to kill the kids while he prepares to awaken his monstrous lord that will destroy humanity!

Damn, what a curious movie! It often had me saying "Whaaat?" because of how incomprehensible it can get, but that's not exactly a drawback since it often feels like a high school project anyways. It's one sloppy ride without any safety handles provided to get your bearings. The terrible acting is a constant source of laughs, so I just resigned to stop questioning things and let the movie throw all the weirdness at me. The make-up and practical effects actually look pretty good, and is surely where the entire budget was spent.
Despite the storytelling flaws it remains an ambitious movie, mostly enjoyable because it's trying to be serious but comes across so campy. Enjoy it for what it is, enthusiastic garbage that somehow comes out a winner!

Be sure not to miss:
- Probably the worst sword fight I have ever seen!
- IM2CUL
- Poor Bob. Turned into a snake and then worn as a scarf for half the movie.
- Rats enough!

Internet review:
"From start to finish it's delicious fun." - sgtking

Should I watch it?
Yes, just be prepared for some wackiness.
It would make a good double-feature with Demon Wind.

Where can I find it?
